RYAN SWAIN

COACH

Coach Swain is a seasoned lacrosse coach and former Division I midfielder known for his leadership and two-way play. A standout at Calvert Hall College High School, he helped lead the team to back-to-back MIAA Championships in 2017 and 2018. Swain continued his lacrosse career at Towson University, where he played all four years and served as team captain in 2022 and 2023. In 2021, he earned First Team All-CAA honors after leading Towson’s midfield with 24 points (15 goals, 9 assists), 25 ground balls, and five caused turnovers. As a coach with the Predators Lacrosse Club, Swain brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to developing well-rounded athletes. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic—values he instilled during his own playing career and continues to pass on to the next generation of players.

ALEX REID

COACH

Coach Reid is a graduate of Towson University, where he competed as a Division I midfielder for the Tigers. Known for his offensive instincts, versatility, and disciplined play, Alex developed into a key contributor on both Towson’s offensive unit and man-up unit over the course of his collegiate career (2019–2023). A proud alumnus of Loyola Blakefield High School in Baltimore, Alex was a standout midfielder and attacker, earning All-MIAA and All-State honors. His high-level playing experience and strong lacrosse IQ give him a well-rounded perspective that translates naturally to coaching. Now a valued member of the Predators Lacrosse coaching staff, Coach Reid brings a steady presence and deep understanding of the game’s nuances. He takes pride in teaching players how to play smart, fast, and fundamentally sound lacrosse, while helping them grow both on and off the field. His ability to connect with athletes and support their development makes him an important part of the Predators Lacrosse culture.

MIKE McKENNA

COACH

Coach McKenna brings a wealth of experience and a strong defensive pedigree to the Predators 2032 team, where he leads and develops the defensive unit. A standout long stick middie at Loyola Blakefield, Mike went on to play close defense at The Ohio State University. While at OSU, he was a key part of a nationally ranked defense and helped guide the Buckeyes to two conference championships during his junior and senior seasons. With over a decade of coaching experience, Coach McKenna has a proven track record of mentoring young athletes and helping them grow both on and off the field. His coaching style emphasizes fundamental skill development, high lacrosse IQ, and above all, creating a fun and supportive team culture. Coach Mike is passionate about teaching the game the right way and takes pride in building confident, disciplined defenders who play hard and play together.
